All quilts are required to have an acceptable hanging sleeve
We cannot use push pins at our new location, so hanging tabs are no longer an acceptable alternative.

Scroll down for links to two sources for hanging sleeve instructions (AQS and Christa Watson) if you would like help with the traditional hanging sleeve.

Christa Watson has posted a very good tutorial for making a hanging sleeve.  At the end of her tutorial, she shows a variation that makes the sleeve permanent by sewing it into the binding:

The American Quilter's Society has a excellent video with hanging sleeve instructions.  We suggest that you sew the long seam in the sleeve WRONG SIDES TOGETHER.  Then you don't need to turn the tube, and you can conceal the raw edges between the sleeve and your quilt instead of leaving them exposed inside the sleeve.
