volunteer to help with the show
Even though our show will be virtual, it will still need volunteers
As we all know, the quilt show runs on Volunteer Power. Even though this year is a lot different from normal, we will still need some volunteers. Since the show will be virtual only, this will also be your only opportunity to see some of the entries in person.
The total number of volunteers needed will be less than in past years. In order to maintain social distancing as much as possible in the space that is smaller than we are used to having (but with "semi-outdoor" ventilation), we are going to sign up only the number that we need. All volunteers should be prepared to wear a mask.
We are going to bring about 30 entries in each day to be professionally photographed. So the process will take more days than usual, to allow a smaller number of volunteers each day.
We will need volunteers for the following:
Once the needed positions are filled, we would also like to have some backup volunteers who can come in at the last minute or with little notice. Backup volunteers will be very helpful since we are limiting the number of volunteers to just what we really need. If someone is sick or otherwise unable to come on their scheduled day, we will need to replace them.
The location will be at Karen Garth's Barn (RV garage), not far from the former Henderson Convention Center. Coffee, water, and light snacks will be provided.
